Bio Information

Sworn in as Trustee on June 14, 2023.  Filled vacancy left by a trustee who stepped down mid-term.

Moved down to the lake with my husband in August 2008 after 27 years of vacationing here.  We came from Alton, Illinois.  Worked at Lake Regional Health System as a Credentialing Specialist from Winter 2008 until Fall 2015.  Was a prior Village Trustee from 2014-2018; headed the Village’s establishing of its emergency preparedness readiness. In Spring of 2018 my husband and I joined the Camden County Emergency Response Team (CERT) program, which trains volunteers in basic disaster response skills and light search and rescue.

With my move to the lake I got more involved with my community by:

               - creating the ‘American Pride Project’ in Spring 2010.  This has to do with the American Flags being flown along Horseshoe Bend Parkway, two down Cherokee Road, along Bagnell Dam Business Strip, and the flowerbed island right when you turn onto Horseshoe Bend from Bagnell Dam Blvd.  The project is based on donations from residents and local businesses.

               - starting an ‘Emergency/Disaster Preparedness Campaign’ also in Spring 2010 to encourage people on the Bend (whether full-time or part-time) the importance of being prepared and how to go about it.

               - creating the ‘Horseshoe Bend Emergency Preparedness Committee’ in May 2011.  This committee consisted of a few Village of Four Seasons residents.  Mission of committee was same as what my above campaign purpose was, plus to also establish some type of emergency plan for all Horseshoe Bend residents, whether in the Village of Four Seasons or not.  In Spring 2012 this committee was officially changed by the Village Trustees to ’The Horseshoe Bend Emergency Response Committee’.

                 - attending all other key community entity Board meetings to stay abreast of what’s happening in their corner of the world.  Entities consist of: Village of Four Seasons, Horseshoe Bend Special Road District, Camden County Public Water District #4, Property Owners Association (POA), and Lake Ozark Fire District.

               - getting involved with other minor community projects like working on things to do at dog park, worked with local water company on landscaping and replacing the drinking fountain at their water tower property at Hardwood Drive and Horseshoe Bend Pkwy, getting a park bench/dedication plaque placed along hiking/biking path on aforementioned water tower property, spearheading creation of a flowerbed at the start of my neighborhood street, etc.

My outlook about being part of a neighborhood/community is taking part in various community things to help make my community a better place to live.
